Interview with the King Master Woodcutter

June 2012 002.jpg

A Quester, a Skiller and Clan Quest's Honor Council
~ by LizBeth ~

Liz: Hello, Skills! May I call you Skills? Skills2Quest is rather long. How about S2Q?
Skills: S2Q or Skills2Noob is fine with me.

Liz: How long have you been a member of Clan Quest?
Skills: Since April or May of 2010. That’s roughly 2+ years now.

Liz: Wow! That’s been a long time. How did you find out about this clan? Were you with another clan prior to joining Clan Quest?
Skills: I was either Smithing in Edgeville or Slayering with a member of the clan, and they recruited me. I was not part of another clan, as I was on my own before the clan was formed by JaGeX.

Liz: What is it about this clan that appeals to you the most?
Skills: Chattery and Good people within the clan. When I joined, I found the environment uplifting and was well put together. I was happy to be a part of such a great clan as this.

LizBeth: How come you call yourself "King Master Woodcutter"?
Skills: 'Cause I won the Clan Woodcutting competition few months back. And I have 36.2m exp' in Woodcutting.

LizBeth: Wow! That is nice! What is it about hacking trees for days on end that makes woodcutting so appealing to you?
Skills: I find that woodcutting was a good source of income back in the day. Seems the price of logs has come back up to where it was back then. Woodcutting got me the skills I have now.

Liz: I know you like sports and so do I, what are your favorite sports?
Skills: Baseball and College Football and Bowling

Liz: Do you also play them as well as watch and follow the games on TV?
Skills: I used to play Baseball, but now I play Adult Softball. I watch college Football and I have been to a few College Football games. I have also been to a few Pro-Baseball games, as well.

Liz: Who is your favorite athlete and why?
Skills: Cam Newton - He is the Quarterback of the North Carolina Panthers. He was a Quarterback at the University near my College - Auburn University.

LizBeth: Here’s a random odd question for you. What medicine is your best headache reliever? How come it is more effective than the others?
Skills: Excedrin PM, Helps with tension headache pain. You can also take Excedrin to relieve headaches as well. Why do I take Excedrin over the other products? 'cause that is what the Doctor proscribed me. It is over the counter and cheap. Plus, it helps me sleep, so that when I wake up I don't get migraines and lowers my stress, 'cause I sleep better and longer and I feel refreshed. I am then prepared to face another new day.

Liz: That is definitely good to know. I suggest you always have those Exedrin pills handy whenever you are in cc. *Mischievous grin.* Well, now it’s our clan mates turn to ask their questions.

MsKonnan10: Skills, you have many level 99's. Which skill have you enjoyed leveling up the most? Which of your 99's do you find the most helpful when playing the game?
Skills: I enjoy Woodcutting, 'cause they yield me good source of income. I find Agility the most helpful to me, 'cause they give me access to more area and I can run further than most of my friends.

ZarosReturnz: What annoys you? Please, go from most annoying to least.
Skills: Major level of annoyingness:
1) Rant/Trolls about updates that gives a chance to get better in the game or gives us items that will help us in the game.

2) Players that act Immature in the game. Bringing up inappropriate conversation and/or immature remarks/replies. (Do I dare to elaborate on this? If you do not know what I am referring to here, then you have not been watching clan chat.)

3) People that do not know or lazy to find out information from the offsite/forums. Whether it’s about the recent updates or what the updates will be in the next hour to 9 minutes (There is no least annoying than these two above.)

{{{2}}}

Karen Angel: What makes you smile in cc?
Skills: When the positive sense of humor strikes me.

Karen Angel: What makes you such a devoted member?
Skills: I follow the Clan/Jagex rules and I am a nice person towards others that treat me the same way.

Karen Angel: If you could change something about cc what would it be?

Skills: At the moment, I probably wouldn't change anything, other than fixing the communication issues between HC and the other Officers with-in the clan.

Jeroenvt: Dear Mr. Skills, Sir, I feel I should start with the most important question of all: Would you like some cabbage?
Skills: Yummy! Of course I want all the bushels of them.

Jeroenvt: Now that we've got that out of the way, here's my first question: At what point did you decide to gain a quest cape, and how much time did you spend on it, approximately?
Skills: I started working up on my Quest cape after I got my Cooking cape. That was Three RS playing years ago. I spent all day for about few weeks non-stop, which was about 2-4 quests depending on the length of the quest(s), per day.

Jeroenvt: What caused you to begin playing RuneScape? Was it a friend who introducted you to it, or did you just stumble upon it and decide that the game needed more skills?
Skills: A friend in my 7th - 8th grade year showed me RS and I was watching him. It looked fun, so I created an account and started to play for about few months. After those few months, my account was hacked. It was after Halloween. I didn't come back playing again till the next holiday came. Once I came back, I was hooked again. I stayed hooked for about 3 years, and the same account got hacked, again. After that I created another account. This is the account I play on now. Since I have created this account, I was never hacked again.

Jeroenvt: What is your favorite pastime in RS, besides skilling and questing?
Skills: Hanging out with friends, while they skilled. I missed those days. Now those friends don't play anymore.

Jeroenvt: Did you like that cabbage I gave you?
Skills: What cabbage..? Oh, I ate them all. Delicious!

Jeroenvt: Would you like some more?
Skills: Please!

Jeroenvt: What is the one moment when you'd been playing RuneScape that you'll remember for as long as the Church of Brassica Prime stands?
Skills: The day I attained the Quest cape. It pushed me to skill more for future quests. I have done so much skilling, I now have no worries about my skills not meeting the requirements. Well, not as much worries as I did in the past.

AlphaLeo: What does make you tick?
Skills: What makes me tick, is when members especially the older "long served" members talk back when Lc/Hc/Hrc warns them. Other than that, I am as friendly as I can be towards you. If people follow the rules and accept the warning regardless of what it is about. I will not be ticked.

AlphaLeo: Also how's the honor council going? Is it fun?
Skills: I am Happy to be the Leader of the council. I have not had many issues that I had to deal with. So, that tells me that the clan is following and obeying the rules.

Wise Ork: Do you believe in Fate?
Skills: Yes, I do believe in fate 'cause things happen for a reason. I feel it was planned for me for a reason. Sometimes they come unexpectedly.

Questor Rei: What has been your favorite quest?
Skills: My favorite quest would have to be Love Story. Reason why that is 'cause I love Wise Old Man and I wish there were more quest from him.

Questor Rei: What was your least favorite quest?
Skills: My least favorite would have to be Nomad and Summer's Story line. Reason why I do not like these quests is 'cause I died x27 - Nomad and x53 - Summer's story line.

Nicole Angel: When you look in the mirror, what is something you wish to improve upon yourself?
Skills: My self-esteem, self-confidence, and also my facial Appearance.

Nicole Angel: What goals do you have in life?
Skills: I have Many goals to accomplish in my life.
1) Get an Apartment
2) Be with the love of my life
3) Have a happy strong life

Nicole Angel: Alternatively, what is your proudest or greatest achievement on or off RuneScape?
Skills: In RuneScpe - Getting Quest cape and Several 99's and owning my two favorite top amours (Bandos and Armadyl sets). Off Runescape - Was able to Pay off my Truck Payments & Student loans. I got to travel to Australia for 3.5 weeks, which was a Greatest (Life-time) Accomplishment.

Fatalflair10: If you had to pick one location in the world of RuneScape to get married where would it be and why?
Skills: I would probably say that my favorite location in the world of RuneScape chapel would be the chapel in Witchaven, West of Ardougne. Why? 'Cause it has a light of god shining through its window and shines on the altar.

The Questing Clan of RuneScape
Where the boon and noobs conjugate.
‘Tis hard to miss
When these questers are amidst,
Their elite presence make the others fulminate.

But alas, ‘tis not only questing they do,
They’ve been known to host awesome events, too.
If skilling and combat competition you desire
Then look no further for these lads and lassies inspire
A true RunScapian they will make out of you.

Witty, intellectual and friendly
Descriptions mostly stated freely
From visitors hanging out in clan chat
To CQ members welcoming them with a pat
Guests are simply dying to join in so eagerly.

The Questing Clan of RuneScape
Just by the name alone it resonates
From the Noob Commander
To the New Recruit-ster
Their uber awesomeness simply radiate.

"Citadel Chatter"

Clanny Community Capers

by Konnan

What is new at the Citadel? This month all of our Skilling Plots have been upgraded to Level 7. Now that we have the highest level plots, we are able to get maximum charges on our Clan Ring, to help our skilling in the real RS world below. When we maintain our Fealty Rating at Three Stars, we also get a good experience bonus each week from our clan cloak.

All of our clan members are expected to visit the Citadel each week, and do some resource gathering to maintain the Citadel and prevent it's decay. If you can not do a full cap, at least do enough to get a clan ring each week. Considering the experience gains that are now available, this is not too much to ask of all members!

What is old news at the Citadel? - Nogard is still waiting for his perch

June 2012 007.jpg

Forced to camp in the forest, under the trees, Nogard would really like that promissed perch for his home!
~!~

What is new in the Clan? You may have noticed "the big push" to have more events happening. An old ETU (Event Thugs United) group has been re-vitalized. The goal is to have several events every day happening in different time zones, so that everyone has something to do along with their fellow clan mates. If you would like to help co-host events, check out the "User Groups - ETU" and contact any of those members by private message. Everyone can get involved in events, so enjoy the benefits of belonging to this clan!

The most popular time is weekends, especially when Tears of Guthrix is happening. There has been added a "Sunday Rotating Event", based around useful skills and small group games, that require a group of 10 or more members. For the members who like more excitement, we have now started "Boss Hunts", which may require higher overall levels to participate.

All the events are advertised on our offsite Calendar, and more details are presented in the Global Announcement which is update weekly.
~!~

What is new with the T7 Forum developement? Hopefully by the time this June issue is published you will be seeing a new Clan Quest RS Forum. We need a forum on RuneScape for clan recognition with Jagex. Activity is going on "behind the scenes" with the Clan Councilors to make this happen very soon.

Now the new RS T7 forum is functioning, you will be wise to check out the first three pages to see information about Clan Rules and Ranks, Recruiting, The Citadel, and Events. The Recruit list and Event Happenings will be constantly updated by the Councilors in charge...so refer to these 2nd and 3rd forum pages, rather than searching through all the end pages for details.

Ten things you didn't know about...

The Wise Old Man

by Wise Ork and Cireon

1. His youth-nickname was "Dissy".

2. He used to be a Priest in Varrock.

3. He painted "Saradomin Pwns" on the Zamorakian Church.

4. He has got most of his magic levels through alching.

5. Some suspect the "thing" under his bed is a Thingummywut.

6. He has level 95+ Construction, considering the dragon in his POH's dungeon.

7. The idea of charging every adventurer that wants to enter Brimhaven dungeon 875 gp is his.

8. The real name of The Wise Old Man is Dionysios, which closely resembles the name of the Greek god Dionysos, the god of wine.

9. He has a shortage of runes. This is the reason why he is planning an assault on the Wizard's Tower. He will also take some of your runes if you show him low-levelled ones.

10. He knows some Latin. One of his sentence states "Vini; volui; mihi est", meaning "I came; I wanted; it's mine."

Breaking News, Just Called In!
******
This is Wise Ork, reporter to the Questaholic with some noteworthy news!

Our spies have received message of the Wicked Hoods being evil!
Leaked by "Clan Quest Granny" MsKonnan10, she has been taken prisoner by the Temple Knights of Falador. We thought it time for an interview:

Wise Ork: So tell me, Sir Tiffy, what is this so called "Evil hood"?

Sir Tiffy: As far as is known, it is a magically modified Wicked Hood.

Wise Ork: What's so bad about that?

Sir Tiffy: When I sent Sir Vyvin to use this magical artefact, he appeared at the Wizards' Tower! He also found out that the "Evil Hood" is capable of supplying its owner with free runes to use in combat!

Wise Ork: That's terrible! What are the Temple Knights going to do about this?

Sir Tiffy: Well, the old code forbids us to do anything! Sir Amik has even commanded her release!

Wise Ork: Do you think she might rob the Wizards' Tower?

Sir Tiffy: No, that's too easy for her. We believe her to be in the progress of summoning the feared Thingummywut!

Wise Ork: *turns to readers* You heard it people, a Thingummywut! Is Gielinor still safe with MsK about to be released? Can this Thingummywut destroy all questers? Or worse, does it steal cookies? I can only hope for the worst to stay away.

THE ANSWERS ARE AT THE BOTTOM.

1. A murderer is condemned to death. He has to choose between three rooms. The first is full of raging fires, the second is full of assassins with loaded guns, and the third is full of lions that haven't eaten in 3 years. Which room is safest for him?

2. A woman shoots her husband. Then she holds him under water for over 5 minutes. Finally, she hangs him. But 5 minutes later they both go out together and enjoy a wonderful dinner together. How can this be?

4. Can you name three consecutive days without using the words Wednesday, Friday, or Sunday?

5. This is an unusual paragraph.
I'm curious as to just how quickly you can find out what is so unusual about it. It looks so ordinary and plain that you would think nothing was wrong with it. In fact, nothing is wrong with it! It is highly unusual though. Study it and think about it, but you still may not find anything odd. But if you work at it a bit, you might find out. Try to do so without any coaching!
