Duke Juker (or more commonly referred to as Duke) is a current member of Clan Quest. He is a member and Guild Councilor of the Questing Clan of RuneScape. He joined the clan during March 2016 after being sponsored by Shane12088.

The name "Duke Juker" was forged in the tempestuous mind of an 8th grader. At the time he created his account, one of Duke's older siblings was obsessed with the word "juking" so naturally Duke thought being known as a juker would be a cool thing. As to the "Duke" part, he thought a formal title to go along with being a juker made it come off way cooler than it actually was (and still is to this day). Though he moved onto other usernames in his gaming career, Duke would always hold a special place in his heart for his RS name as it was his first username he ever came up with.

Two of Duke's greatest achievements were obtaining his Max cape on May 9, 2019 and 120 Firemaking (his favorite skill) on February 28, 2022. As an F2P player for a long time, Duke never imagined how far he would go in Runescape. Yet, through sheer persistence and determination, he continues to reach the goals he sets for himself.

On March 25, 2022, Duke officially became the scapegoat of the RS Guild. Duke gladly accepts this mantle of responsibility for the good of the clan and his clanmates.

RuneScape History

F2P Obscurity (2005 - 2012)

Duke's Runescape journey began in February of 2005. Some friends in 8th grade were playing Runescape at the time. With some mild persuasion, they convinced Duke to create an account. From that time until May 2012, Duke played as a free-to-play account. During this time, he had an on and off relationship with Runescape. Some years, he'd be more interested in playing and progressing his account. Other years, he'd hardly play at all. Of course, in the F2P world in the old days, progress was slow and training methods were limited. In his 7 years as a free-player, Duke never achieved a 99 though he did attempt to reach 99 Firemaking by way of lighting fire lines with willow logs.

Testing out Members (May 2012)

In May of 2012, Jagex was offering free 14-day trial runs of membership to lure in F2P players. Duke was offered such an opportunity. Initially, he was apprehensive as he took pride in his account being an F2P pure. But he was intrigued at the prospect of trying members just to see if he would enjoy the complete version of the game. Starting on May 22nd, Duke started a goal thread on the RSBandB forums to chart his progress. By the end of the two week trial, Duke had racked up 309 levels in member's skills, finished the easy tasks sets for Varrock and Seer's Village, and completed 55 members quests (not quest points...FIFTY-FIVE quests in 2 weeks). Needless to say, Duke's interest was piqued, but he wasn't ready to be a consistent member quite yet.

The Dabbling Years (2012 - 2013)

Duke continued to play Runescape primarily as an F2P world. But having tasted what membership had to offer, he craved more. He got membership again for September and December of 2012 and carried over into the new year with members for January 2013. He went back again to F2P, but got members again for 3 months during the summer for 2013 from June through August. After that, he renewed his membership monthly until he finally purchased a VIP 12-month subscription for the first time at the end of 2013.

The VIP Plunge (2014 - Present)

Ever since getting VIP membership, Duke has never looked back. The full game just had too much to offer in new opportunities and training methods.

Clan Quest History

Chat Guest (March 2016)

As a member of the RSBandB forum community, Duke got to know Shane and Earth. Duke had never been part of a clan before as he had friends online that he played with and didn't necessarily see a point in joining a clan. But Shane told him about Clan Quest which got Duke interested in the idea. Duke had always enjoyed the questing and lore side of the game. He thought that a questing clan would be just the perfect fit for him. He started joining the Clan chat as a guest during March of 2016.

Becoming a Noob (March 2016 - Present)

On March 21, 2016, Duke submitted his forum application to join Clan Quest with Shane as his sponsor. MsKonnan10 made Duke a recruit member and took him on a tour of the clan citadel.

In March of 2022, Miss Alaska contacted Duke to see if he would be interested in serving on the Questing Clan of RuneScape Guild Council. He said yes and on March 25, 2022, Duke was formally appointed to serve on the RS Guild Council. In addition to Miss Alaska, RS Guild Councilors Borosouro, pOp O, and Quest Kitty attended the swearing in ceremony.

RSBandB

Duke joined the RSBandB forum community on October 13, 2005. He joined this website by way of his older sibling whom he had gotten interested in Runescape. His sibling, who had joined forums before, came across the RSBandB forum and encouraged Duke to join. This is where Duke met Shane, Earth, and other members of the Clan Quest community.

WhirlpoolDnD FC

WhirlpoolDnD is a Runescape friends chat dedicated to scouting and calling out what server the traveling merchant in the Deep Sea Fishing area is on. Duke currently serves as a moderator in the FC and Discord server.

Real Life Meetups

Duke has yet to meet any clannies in real life, but he would like to if the opportunity presented itself someday. :)

What's he really up to?

Real life: I'm still trying to figure out what career path to follow. Aside from that, I like to spend time with friends and family, play video games, eat out, and generally take things one day at a time.

RuneScape: I've been less active in the game lately. I like helping out in WhirlpoolDnD FC and working towards a Master Quest Cape someday. My current goals are to get 120 Prayer and 200m Farming.
