The "RAWR Awards", or simply "RAWR", has been a recurrent award system that recognizes individuals that strive towards the well-being of the Clan as a whole. There have been four iterations across Clan Quest's history.

Past iterations

The gold star rank

(c.2012) and (c.2014)
RAWR was, originally, an acronym for Random Acts of Win Rank, mainly becasue the winner would be awarded with a special rank in RuneScape's ingame clan. There is no official list with every winner, and the actual date this system was implemented is unclear, but there are still some leads in Clan Quest's offsite. In June 2012, Wise Ork nominated Dirty Rain for 'acts of chivalry'. It was subsequently announced in the clan chat and received a mention in both the website and the magazine. There was, however, disagreement between several members as to which actions merited an award. After discussion in the Low and High Councils, it was decided that the RAWR awards were to be used for an act which benefited the clan as a whole, and would usually be reserved for a new idea that no one else had conceived. There are at least three known individuals that received the mention: Dirty Rain, Nogard210 and Wolfie

Kudos and compliments

(2011-2015) and (2012)
On June, 2011, former member Sg81440 kicked off The Kudos Thread, where clannies were invited to give a shout-out to others for something nice they had done. It was kept alive for quite some time, and more than 50 posts where made in 4 years. In 2012, Doc Hawk started yet another thread with the same intentions, not knowing the Kudos "system" was still in place. Said thread was called Compliments/Shout outs, and it was very short lived.

The Clan Quest Forum Awards

(2013)

The Forum Awards were a suggestion made by former clanmember Wise Ork. The project's idea was to reward members for their contributions in different activities. Some examples of said categories are those of Best safekeep, Best Questaholic article, or Most active member.Wise Ork would be in charge of the nominations himself, and the membership-at-large was then supposed to vote and select a winner for each category. If there was a draw between two or more members, Ork would then release his reason for nominating those people, as that could help in the run off.

The prizes offered to the winners were the following:

  • One phrase to be written by Wise Ork in public, call it offsite or in-game.
  • A mention in the Forum Awards topic, to which only the winners were allowed to reply.
  • 100.000 RuneScape gold.

The proposal, however, never kicked off, due to concerns that it could show that some contributions were more important than others.

The RAWR Awards

(August 2017 - October 2020

On July 2017, Choto 3000 announced the opening of the RAWR Awards thread, whose objective was to make public something nice that any member did. This could include a remarkable action towards yourself, another member, or the clan as a whole. Each month, the winner/s would be announced in the Clan's Magazine, Questaholic. Nominations could be made by any full member of the clan, regardless of their join date, their position or past contributions.

A group of people representing every official group of the Clan (Namely the High Council, Low Council, Honor Council, Event Thugs United, Razzers, Questaholic Editors and Combat Marshals) was invited by Choto to participate in the selection of a winner. The judges' names were kept secret as to avoid any problems.

As the effort to maintain the magazine became more difficult over time, the RAWR Awards saw their end after the September 2019 issue, returning for a brief time from July to September 2020. The nominations thread was closed after more than 3 years of activity, and hasn't been restored yet.
