Bit of a jump, this: we started out fetching baking supplies, now we're going mano-e-demonio with an eldritch horror from beyond the veil of time and space? Alright, whatever.

I remember Demon Slayer being very hard, partly on account of the dark wizards that, famously, aggroed everyone approaching Varrock. I was very surprised that I was able to get past without triggering them, but at my stats I'm not about to complain.

Other than that, I don't remember much about Demon Slayer. But I remember that it definitely didn't look like this:

Liking the rework so far.

Not much to say about the trials. They're not exactly difficult puzzles; even fighting 10 skeletons managed to be easy, although I did have to restart because I (foolishly) came in with my Dwarven Army Axe instead of an actually good weapon. One comment though:

Nuts to what the dumb ghost says, 1 is the correct answer in my heart. Anyway, trials complete, Silverlight in my hand (love the new design of that, by the way), and what's waiting for me when I climb back out?

This is just some random player also doing the quest, but there was a solid ten seconds where I wasn't sure he wasn't a revamped Denath, flush from killing Gideon Bede. Everything about that, from the positioning to the spider silk robes to the beard, was just perfect. You can't make this stuff up.

Anyway, we move pretty swiftly into the confrontation with Delrith, who's a lot smaller than I remember:

The fight itself isn't much to write home about; I already knew the mechanics because of doing Dominion Tower on my main, but I had a couple of close calls while setting up that screenshot. Overall not a remotely challenging quest, certainly not compared to my childhood memories, but it certainly looks a lot better.
