It's fitting that we start with the first-ever quest in Runescape.

Right off the bat I'm not feeling very sympathetic to this cook:

I'm sorry, mate, but a chef that forgot to buy ingredients? You are the worst chef. Robert Irvine would not be happy with you (I watch a lot of Restaurant: Impossible). Still, start as we mean to go on.

I'm immediately tasked with locating "special" ingredients. Okay, so the quest has been reworked. Flour and milk I know how to get, but where the heck do I find "top-quality" milk?

...oh. Okay then.

Ultimately this isn't as different as I'd thought from the quest I remember, which is good. It was always a pretty decent quest for teaching you how to navigate Lumbridge, so I'm glad it wasn't changed too much.

A final thought:

Foreshadowing does a little dance

In retrospect, it annoys me that I can't rub his face in the fact that not only do I get to chat with the Duke, I become important enough to have one-on-one conversations with literal god. That seems like a good full-circle kind of thing: from humble beginning, and look at you now, World Guardian. That one's free, Jagex: think about it.

Anyway, quest complete, and my first (legitimately-earned) quest point.
