Help Us Celebrate 15 Years of Clan Quest!

On November 9, 2024, Clan Quest turns 15 years old! To celebrate this huge milestone, we’re inviting everyone to participate in a special commemorative video. Whether you’ve been with us from the very beginning or just recently joined, we want your voice to be a part of this moment. This guide will cover what the video parameters are, how to submit your video, and some tips to help you create the best clip possible.

What We’re Looking For:

We’re asking all members of Clan Quest—past, present, and anyone who’s ever been involved with our community—to submit a short video clip wishing Clan Quest a happy birthday. Your message can be as simple or creative as you like!

Here are some general guidelines for your video submission:

  • Length: 5-15 seconds.
    • Keep it short and sweet! We want to capture as many faces and voices as possible in the final video.
  • Content Ideas:
    • A quick “Happy Birthday, Clan Quest!” message
    • A favorite memory or moment from your time in Clan Quest
    • A shoutout to a specific person, group, or event that was meaningful to you
    • A creative theme: costumes, in-game avatars, or funny props are all welcome!
  • Format: Any format is welcome, though MP4 or MOV is preferred for easier editing.
  • Quality: Please try to use a camera or phone that captures decent video and audio quality. We recommend recording in landscape orientation (horizontal) and avoiding any loud background noise to make sure your voice is clear.
  • In-Game or IRL: You can record your message in real life or in-game! Use your avatar, get creative with visuals, or record a personal message from wherever you are.

How to Submit Your Video:

  1. Record Your Clip: Make sure to keep it short, energetic, and fun! Remember, the goal is to show how much Clan Quest has meant to you over the years.
  1. Submit Your Video File: All videos should be submitted to [Submission Form Link]. This form will ask for your contact details and provide a section to upload your file directly. If you have any trouble with the form, you can also email your video to [email protected].
  1. Deadline: Please submit your video by 23:59UTC on November 7th, 2024 to ensure that it can be included in the final edit.

Tips for a Great Video:

  • Smile & Have Fun: We want the video to be lively and engaging, so show your personality!
  • Lighting Matters: If recording IRL, try to film in a well-lit space with your light source facing you (e.g., in front of a window or a well-lit room).
  • Avoid Background Noise: Make sure your surroundings are as quiet as possible to capture clear audio.
  • Check the Frame: Make sure your face or in-game avatar is centered in the frame.
